The Power Quality and Efficient Electric Use Subcommittee is a dedicated group within the IEEE Rural Electric Power Conference, focused on enhancing power quality and promoting efficient electric energy use in rural systems. • Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations
  Examining the infrastructure needs and standards required to establish rural EV charging networks.
• Distributed Generation
  Addressing the integration of renewable power plants, battery storage, and inverter controls for distributed energy resources (DER).
• Power Quality Standards
  Reviewing and advancing IEEE standards like Harmonics 519 and P2844, including managing voltage imbalance and new power quality developments.
• Emerging Technologies
  Analyzing the impacts of dynamic line ratings, LED flicker, cryptocurrency data center loads, and other technologies on rural systems.
